Step by step process

What to Expect During Your Pet’s Journey with Kind Funerals

This is what happens throughout the process of a Kind Pet cremation: Call us on telephone 07759 039 996 or book your collection online here.

Making Your Order
When placing your order, think about whether you’d like to add any keepsakes or extras. We provide scatter tubes free of charge, and ashes are returned in a sealed bag. You can decide later if you’d like to move them to a special box or plant them in a meaningful way.

Arranging Collection
We’ll call or message you to agree on a suitable time to collect your pet, whether from your home or your vet.

Your Pet’s Kind Passport
During collection, we create a Kind Passport for your pet. This keeps a record of their journey, including any special wishes, like playing music during the cremation or including a favourite toy.

Personalised Cremation Care
Before the cremation:

  • We carefully take a fur clipping and, if requested, create ink or clay paw prints.
  • We use a scanner to read and confirm your pet’s chip, recording this on their Kind Passport as proof of identity.

During the cremation:

  • We light a tealight candle and say a quiet prayer or words of your choice.
  • Your pet’s ashes are gently collected using a tiny brush and placed into a sealed bag and the scatter tube or chosen keepsake.

Returning Your Pet’s Ashes
Your pet’s ashes are returned to you in a package that includes:

  • The lit tealight candle from their cremation
  • A fur clipping
  • A black wristband
  • Forget-me-not seeds

Unless you’ve requested an in-person return, everything is securely bubble-wrapped and sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery. This ensures a signed-for delivery by 1 pm the next day (excluding Sundays). Each parcel is tracked so we always know where your pet is.
